I have a Scorpion Y650 frame I am going to build for next season and i am in the process of constructing a shopping list. I have a question on motor choice!

The layout for Y6 is as below

[attach=1]
If I am looking at this correctly then all motors actually spin in the same direction? The counter clockwise ones are a mirror of the clockwise motors.

I have found a nice set of cw/ccw 2212';s on RcTimer

[attach=2]
I would like to use these and I presume that the cw/ccw label denotes the thread of the shaft and nothing else about these? If so these should work OK or is there any reason why I shouldn';t use them?

Thanks Darrell I';ll have a read but it doesn';t directly answer my questions. I';m particularly wondering about the suitability of the handed motors and if the difference is simply the thread on the shaft.

Only difference is the thread bud. If you have a motor that';s ment to go CW then you would get a CW threaded motor and visa versa for the CCW motor. The motors are identical and can run in one direction just as good as the other, the only difference is the thread on the motor bell. As for the motors themselves I have not seen or tested them before sorry

Thanks thats good info.
I think I';ll still use them even though three of them will be rotating in the opposite direction to the thread. It';s no different to a normal quad using all four motors with right hand threads.
