Looking for a new frame

I';m a little bit OCD about wires and stuff showing on my frames.  My current Q650 is ok but I';d like a more integrated look and came across the Kongcopter AQ550 frame which looks great and the price is about right.

Are there any others anyone can suggest? Want to use my existing hardware which is Pixhawk, Tiger T2216 motors, RCTimer gimbal.

Hi there !!! The kongcopter designs are ok but much of the materials used are rubbish and will need replacing. Motor mounts are very cheap plastic and also tube clamps are complete rubbish !!! Have had several kongcopter frames now and we just throw most of it away only keeping top and botom plates, undercarriage and plastic cover ... Have a look at our 700 quads (claas one in the gallery) www.thedronefactory.co.uk these just use top and bottom plates undercarriage and top cover the tubes are carbon replacements plus aluminium motor mounts and replacement tube clamps..

Hope that helps regards rob

Thats'; useful info, thanks.  The other frame I';ve found is RCTimer';s Q700, a similar design to the AQ550 but with carbon tubes. Looks like a Sky-hero clone but still has plastic motor mounts although they can be easily replaced I guess.

The q700 is an exact clone of the sky hero spyder 700 and yes it uses plastic motor mounts. The problem here is the tubes are 30mm and i dont know of any aftermarket 30mm motor mounts. The other limitation is you can only use motors up to 35mm which limits your power possibilities... As long as you dont mind spending the money you can upgrade the kongcopter frame using top grade carbon parts and decent mounts at a total cost of about £175 ... We have been flying our retro frames since the kongcopter first came out and it has proved to be a real hoot and great fun to fly...
