F 450 4s Motor Upgrades

Can anybody make some suggestions for F 450 motor upgrades that will run 10" props on 4s and maybe even bigger props in case I swap to a 500 or extended arms st some stage in the future.
Ideally if they could be UK based but if not I';ll certainly consider shipping from abroad.
Any suggestions appreciated!!

Can';t offer a specific recommendation but a lot of the motor manufacturers have info on their websites which should help guide you,  e.g Emax

I run T-Motor MN3110-17 700Kv they capable to run up to 15" props depends on weight of craft and still offer good thrust with 10" props if weight is under 2000g.

A 450 on 10" props on 4S is going to be a bit wild, unless you go for lower kv motors - which will be heavier than usually used on a 450 so may compromise performance. I would guess you need something around 600kv.

Personally I';ve never in my limited experience ever used anything but 10" props, basically just due to supply. Started on the dji 10s with dji motors and 3s, added weight and went to 4s which made a huge improvement. Then got graupner props which helped a little more. Now on t-motor 10x3.3 with TBS 750kv motors, think I prefer the dji/graupner combo if I';m honest. Mind you the old girl weights about 1.9KG now so the big props and torqey motors keep it rock solid in the air.

If I were you I';d look at something like the tmotor 900kv. It';s a solid design.. My next port of call unless I decide to go 680 hex first

mikim, you said with the DJI motors you went to 4s, was that 9 or 10" props you used and must admit I';m at the stage of am I loading it up too much and better to move to a Hex for video and keep the 450 just as a simple camera / stills platform, maybe even with a simple and light servo driven gimbal.

Raf, the MN3110-17 700Kv';s you mentioned look like a fair piece of kit, wonder if 10" props they may be a bit under used ????? bet they';d be awesome on a Hex !!
