Mobius HD Gimbal 3D Printed

I';m having a go at this: http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:216558



A 1kg roll of PLA cost me £18.99, and i';ve used hardly any. So far I';ve had to tweak the STL files as some parts were never going to print the way up they were.

I need to figure out the wiring, and also where to mount the controller.

It is however much lighter than my old metal one!

At present i';m going to use the motes from my old cheap chinese gimbal, any others you';d recomend?

I need to fix a coulple of bits together and work out where to mount the controller  and IMU and I';ll post some pics...

Hmmm, I';ll see, I';ve only a roll of Orange PLA to print with so it would be any colour as long as its orange!

Ive been thinking about a gimbal for my mobius for a while now  that looks the nuts pm me with a price to print one and a list of motors and controller

Steve that';s great.  I missed this post, I basically couldn';t figure out why folk had not made a gimbal for this excellent cam.

I may swap out my Boscam HD19  to a Mobious on my gimbal.  Although this question it is not to do with the gimbal, could you let me know what the Mobius';s light level is like from the fpv AV live feed, compared to a wdr600 for example?

Great work! So this is all made of PLA? Is it going to work with the type of ABS filament from 3d2print.net? I'm used to this type of filament, and I'm wondering if it's going to print well using this material. You might as well want to try some of the materials like Nylon & PETT for that.

Sorry guys but I';m borrowing works 3D Printer and can';t answer some of your questions!

We only have a PLA based machine ( Makerbot 2) and the .thing files are what the guy used to print it?

yes its all PLA and seems fine at present if a little soft in places....
