Hi

Do you think its safe to charge my GoPro and Mobius from the 5V 2A BEC on my ESC';s? I could run GP from one ESC and the Mobius from another?

Thanks

Andy

I';m assuming you mean in flight?
Sounds a bit risky to me mate. Would be best to use at least a ubec instead.  At least it won';t be catastrophic if that fails.
I would definately avoid putting any unnecessary load on your escs.
If your just talking about charming out on the field,  why not use a 3s lipo hooked up to a 12v USB adaptor.  The type you would use in your car for example.....
Tunrnigy Talon Tri, TBS Discovery, TBS Discovery PRO, Spnky 250 Mini, EZUHF, EZOSD

Make sure you use the correct cable for the Mobius as the pins are different .Best to get the cable direct from Joovu if in any doubt.

Hi

I figured since people rely on built in BECs to power receivers, servos etc, charging a GoPro wouldn';t be a big ask. Anyway, I found a 5V reg in my box. Forgot I';d ordered it. Hooked it up to test out, says 2S-5S input. So used a spare 3S pack and BANG lol. Smoke, fire, brimstone  :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: :frantic: .

Guess that';s toast then. Ordered a new one from HK :D. I';ve got the mobius output lead, it came with it. Had to order a new GoPro cable though as the one I had was video out only so I ordered one of these : http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/__49451__Super_Slim_GoPro_3_A_V_Cable_And_Power_Lead_For_FPV.html.

Cheers
