Doesn';t surprise me that someone has tried it.

If it were me I would put my energy into building a tennis ball cannon. Stick the stuff inside a tennis ball and catapult it over that way.

Drones are too risky, they draw too much attention with the noise and cost too much if you lose it.

Not that I';m trying to put people off or anything...

I recall a similar story a while back of someone using a multi to smuggle tobacco and mobile phones (IIRC) into a prison in the states too - think it might be catching on!

All they have to do is stretch a few thin mono filament lines - or a fine mesh net - over any open spaces like they do down here in Cornwall to stop seagulls - and you';re sorted

IIRC also saw mentioned dropping phones/guns into prisons

a short while ago saw this interesting blog about a drone sailing vessel
it was launched from SanFransisco & sailed by itself to Hawaii
it got me thinking this could easily be used as a covert way by gangs to smuggle illicit goods etc

How long before someone straps some exposives to one, programs in a gps location, and sets it going.
