Came across this on YouTube:

Looks a nice cheap and simple way of getting rid of jello - must try it!

Well, he used NTM 28';s as worst vibration example so I';m sold!

On a side note, someone';s experimented with fitting their motors upside down, on the bottom of their mounts and are reporting reduced vibrations (shown by APM IMU graphing) and smoother/stable flight.

That';s an idea I';m playing about with at the moment - I noticed reduced vibrations on a Vtail with upside down motors, the only issue is how to fit a half decent undercarriage.

Flite Test did something similar but used a long piece of ply and had the Gopro one end with the battery at the other. I tried it and it worked quite well.

I am guessing that mounting the motors upside down will also result in less stress being place on the bearings due to the way the motors are constructed this should result in longer motor life !!!

life is too short to worry about what others think !!!

Yes, I keep wondering about other possible benefits, especially with my quad but that';s yet to come. Meanwhile, another has tried mounting upside down and also reports more stable, less vibes, smoother control etc. Seems like it could catch on!
