*** ESC spontanious combustion ***

HI all ... Just a quick quessie here. I have been buying for sometime now proflight 30amp ESC,s for use in my multi,s, to date they have proved very good apart from the exeption of two complete self destructions on power up. The first one was a couple of months ago and i just carried on and thought must have just been a duff one, anyways while powering up a customer quad for the first time today i had another just go up in smoke and i have to say a pretty violent self destruction. All i want to know really is there anyone else here using them and have you had the same issue ???

I';ve got 4 Proflite, seem ok - I suspect that they are Turnigy blues.
I have had cheapo esc';s release magic smoke for no reason, it';s usually the output that goes pop.

I had a Turnigy blue 30a release the magic smoke on first power on on a hover craft project last year ( for me that was a 50% failure rate) went over to mystery/dji/Afro esc';s since.
