hi guys, I have some turnigy plush 30a esc`s on my quad and have seen examples of the difference of flashed and non flash via youtube. I was wondering if there was anyone local to south wales who would be willing to flash mine with blheli firmware for the price of a few beers?.
I`m sure I would be capable of doing it, but buy the time I order the flashing tool etc I think it would make more sense to pay someone?
anyone?

Are you sure the plush you have can be flashed?

The new ones don';t always have an AVR chip on them so can';t be updated.

Found that out the hard way doh!

The new plushs can be flashed. They have the silab chips and use BLHeli.  Got 8 30A plush and they work fine!

The part I';m struggling with is the teeny-tiny pads you have to solder onto.  Either my soldering iron is too big or I';m fat handed  :(

Dab a bit of flux before hand and load the soldering tip with some solder and quickly dab it on. I';ve found it creates a nice blob of solder where you can attach some wires to.

If anyone gets totally stuck i can flash ESCs for the price of postage + a couple of quid. PM me if you like.

I don';t solder to the pads i have a little spring loaded tool that contacts those - i just hold it in place for the duration of the flashing process.
One circlip short of a quadcopter.
1 lobe short of an antenna.

I did see a link to this tool on HK but its a bit pricey if I only intend to use it only a handful of times.
I may consider your service if you don';t mind?.. I`ll try and send them too you next week if money aint too short

My backup plan was to just hold jumper wires onto the contacts (flashing with arduino)... might give that a go after all
