Sad old former Butlins, been in disrepair for years, suddenly and mysteriously caught fire on one of the wettest nights there';s been for years...hmmmm

Looking even sadder now...

This was the first flight test of my new gimbal/camera set up.  Not bad for a first try, but needs a few tweaks to sharpen things up.

A lovely bit of video there sir.  Very impressive, and not a little sad to see once great institutions of my youth fall into abandonment.  Butlins, the butt of many jokes, but a lot of us actually went there 



There is an abandoned motel near where I live that I';d love to FPV similarly. It fell into disuse when the A2 (Kent) was moved a few hundred meters and now is not legal to use for seemingly any purpose at all.   The Google satellite view is compelling. I';d love to get in there, do some low-level flying around its streets and visit the various buildings.  Marvellous.

A ';character building'; holiday of course.  I think it was modelled on the popular ';Borstal'; style camps, which were popular in the fifties.

nice bit of film there balders !!! what camera are you using on your setup ??? i worked at pontins for a summer season when i was 18 best fun i ever had and the most money i have ever made in 3 months LOL !!! worked in the amusement arcade
