Looking for a cheap gimbal for my gopro 3 on a dji f450. Im not looking for amazing smooth video, just want to get the best out of my fun flying without spending a fortune on a gimbal.
Anyone know of any reliable ones?

Balders

If you have a naza fc you can build one out of two cheap servos.  I did that on my homebrew hexacopter and got reasonable results.  Will link to video I did with yhat setup later.

If you need a gimbal controller then there';s quite a few to choose from.  Rctimer are popular. Expect to pay around £115

is there a way to make those servo signals work with brushless gimbal motors?

would that be the same case for a multiwii board?

i was thinking of buying a cheap and nasty 2 axis gimbal for messing about with (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2-Axis-Aluminum-Brushless-Camera-Mount-Gimbal-w-2-Motors-for-Gopro3-2-1-DJI-UK-/360818168130?pt=UK_ToysGames_RadioControlled_JN&var=&hash=item5402705142)

the plan was to try hook it up to my nanowii if possible to save buying another separate controller.

ach well.

See the note about not updating the firmware at the bottom of the page?

Says you will brick it if you try :(

nub

and the v2.2 controller is more better than the v3

i did have a look at those but never had the pennies at the time to buy one.
Point and click.

Friskle

Take a look at the Feyetech g3 2 axis, cheapish, and works great, slight mod to the gopro mounting if not using a gh3, but overall it funtions great.
