S800 clone purchase advice please

Hi all and by the time most read this... Happy New Year.

I have recently built an F550 having started out with a phantom, so sort of know 1000% more than I did a few months ago.

Like most people, I chat all over the place and my recent topic has been about getting a bigger camera on the 550 and there isn';t too much positive to be honest.

Then out of the blue, I was offered a system from someone who builds them for fun and wondered what sort of price I should pay for something like this. He has flown it 3 times and has no footage because he hasn';t bothered to fit the gimbal in the spec yet. He tells me the gimbal will comfortably take a DSLR and I will pretend to know what a DSLR even is, but he did mention Sony Nex.

A small problem: he lives in Jersey! Seems a nice genuine bloke, but means I can';t get to see it if I choose to go for it.

THE SPEC

RCTimer S800 clone
DJI A2 flight controller
Foxtech 2D gimbal (I have checked from images it is the Falcon)
Retractable landing gear
6x RCT 4114 400kv motors with 15" props
6x ESC 2-6S 40A
Two 6S 5000mAh 20-30C
Foxtech 2D brushless gimbal

Given that I suppose this lot rates as second-hand, does anyone have any idea what I should be paying for this setup, considering I will need to add another FPV Tx and camera and no doubt other things to get it as I need it.

I am probably just being a little lazy, but you lot know way better than me how to value these things.

Cheers
Rich

2D gimbal? With retractable legs you need to get a 3D. With a 2D you might as well leave the legs down. You know you really want an Evo...

Can';t afford it and probably never will now lol.

I still get legs in on F550 shots, so getting them out the way on this thing will remove that fear. And besides, it looks cool retracting for no reason lol.

For my money I';d go for a CF tube based hex like the tarot iron man hex.

There';s lots of unnecessary flex in the arms of the S800 design. And an added point of failure at the contacts on the ESC.
I reverse polarities for fun.

The clones S800 have really stiff arms on them. Better than DJI ones.

Thx Shak, yeah I read that too. One of the main complaints of the original S800.

You can always stiffen them even more with some wet lay glass fibre/carbon - was a popular mod on the original S800 arms.
