Without putting a downer on your progress, should you really be flying over residential areas?

Shhh I have started to do things like that with rugby posts (and I know its going to end in tears)

This is my Sunday flying site and there us an abundance of rugby posts https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XgvN3eykbPo&feature=youtube_gdata_player the uncorrected fisheye version gives me motion sickness (no it wasn';t me who filmed it)

Some fantastic views there Donald, that gimbal looks steady, i hope mine shapes up the same, it';s all fitted and working, just need to fix/extend the landing legs, then it';s testing time.

Thank you kind sir. I am very pleased with the gimbal. I noticed some jello creeping in. I am using the white (very soft) shock absorbers. I';m wondering if I should change ';em to a harder rubbers.

They are easy to change aren';t they?  I';d certainly try it.  THe instructions are for DJI craft only, so I';ll have to play it by ear, if I get jello I';ll try another type.  I';m starting with the black ones, ';cause they look best!!

The ';book'; says to use the white ones. However, I am running on  props ';out of the box'; unbalance?

On the balancing arena, I have had problems with a DU-Bro unit with an unbalanced cone. The manufacturer sent me a new cone but that too was unbalanced (wobbles). they are sending me two more... Ho hum...

I have nearly finished making a prop balancer out of a dead motor... More on this at a later date..

I have a commitment to killing jello on my quad!

I have the magnetic type, works very well.  Donald, when you balance your props, do you balance both ways up i.e balance the hub as well?  If I';m teaching my grandma to suck eggs here...

Yes I have tried both sides up. However, I have just finished experimenting with the laser method ... WOW what a difference... I will write it up in my other thread  re laser for prop balancing - It not only balances the prop but the hub, nut and motor too...

& yes, I have discovered that a balanced motor can go out of balance  :o - read about it in the other thread.
