Nice piloting skills Donald, you could have chosen an easier landing space, but hats off to you, went straight for the flower pots (last time I tried that I decapitated half a dozen Daffs!)
I must say for someone with as little experience as yourself, you';ve come a long way in a short time.  I think you went about it the right way, masses of research, patience, rereading of incomprehensible online manuals in partial Chinese grammar...and all that jazz.

Well done, now get out into the countryside asap and get some ';real footage';!!
:bravo:

P.S and get that grass out of that gutter mate!

Thanks Andy & John

Grass removal was one of the reasons for taking a closer look. That is a job to be done.

Thanks for the nice comments. Yes, I seem to have learnt a lot over the last couple of weeks - I have learnt how not to land on my neighbour';s roof! However, I am not wanting to be a ';boy racer'; with the quad - I want to use it for a more sedate application: Aerial photography.  From the very first flight, I have been trying to teach myself how to control the aircraft in slow movements. It also helps in learning precise positioning, a skill I am still trying to get to grips with.

I remember an instructor saying a long time ago, teaching me to reverse a large boat: "do it very slowly - that way, if you hit anything, the damage will be limited!"

I have a couple of other videos to edit - similar to this one - You will see that I am in the countryside - I am looking forward to getting out and about, recording the village and surrounds from the air. (Wish I had a FPV but I ran out of money.)

Excellent, very nice control over your model - very impressive considering the time you';ve been flying; and yes patience is well rewarded no need to hoon about like something possessed for what you want to do!

Opto-Mystic

Thanks Darrell, for the kind words...

Rommie, If you look around the ';net, you will hear/see moans an groans about GoPros locking up or having problems with recording issues. I wonedr how many of the problems are because they have got the wrong card.

The following is a copy from the GoPro Support pages:

HERO3: Black Edition & HERO3+ Black Edition Cameras

A Class 10 MicroSD card up to 64 GB is required.

Not all Class 10 microSD cards have the same data write speeds. If you plan to shoot in 4k, 2.7k, or Protune video modes with your HERO3: Black Edition or HERO3+ Black Edition camera, we recommend using one of the following microSD cards for the best performance:

    SanDisk Extreme 32GB microSDHC (SDSDQX-032G)
    SanDisk Extreme 64GB microSDXC (SDSDQX-064G)
    Lexar 32GB SDHC 600x (LSDMI32GBSBNA600R)
    Lexar 64GB SDXC 300x (LSDMI64GBBNL300R)
    Delkin 32GB SDHC (DDMICROSDPRO2-32GB)
    Delkin 64GB SDXC (DDMICROSDPRO264GB)
    Samsung 64GB SDXC (MB-MGCGB/AM)

The card I purchased and have had no issues, is the  Samsung 64GB SDXC (MB-MGCGB/AM).
If I remember correctly, I got it via Amazon.co.uk

I strongly urge you, or anyone else looking for a suitable card, to visit the GoPro support page at:

I am very pleased with how it is starting to come together. However, i can';t claim it is all my work... the help and encouragement I have received from the inhabitants of this place has helped enormously.

Silky smooth and controlled, the most important, and you don';t get the first without the latter. So yeah, as others have said, very well done indeed. Thats some nice work there.
