Donald, i';m glad you finally got it sorted.
These guys are good and so generous with their time. A big benefit of a forum of like minded folk who enjoy the hobby.

I would be floundering out here in Egypt if I had to rely on fellow local flyers....there just aren';t any...it';s just me. The info and help from this forum is invaluable from my perspective.
That is so true - I was struggling and didn';t know what to try next - I did read a comment about calibrating ESCs and even made a note to investigate it. However I missed it out without realising.

It was through this forum that I found the expert help needed to untangle the web of mistakes... I am truly grateful to Mark for his time - (over two hours on the phone talking me through the solution)... :beer2: ~~ :notworthy: :beer2:

... Hmmm, yes, this is a good place to be.

Also my thanks to everyone else who contributed and gave me suggestions  :notworthy:
- By golly, I learnt a lot over the couple of days.

I don';t have the time to discuss that point, I am too busy trying to put back the quad after you advised me to take it apart and squeeze the ESCs into a new shape the vice. Are your really sure that I have to cut every other wire to the Naza & mounting it upside down with the GPS/Compass

I am not sure that you are correct that if I were to cut one side off each prop, it will fly smoother. However, as you stated several times, you are the experienced expert & instructor, I will do as you command.

I guess I will find out later when I go to the dance hall and do the Naza ';turning it around'; thingy.  How loud did you say that I have to sing the ';Hokey Pokey'; while doing the Naza Dance';?

I may be a new comer to the multi-rotor arena but I am not gullible enough to believe that I must put it on the ground upside down so that if I get the first steps wrong, it doesn';t have far to fall and crash!

Oh, by the way, I have found a very strong magnet (out of my hard drive you told me to take apart) an glued it to the compass thingy as you suggested.

I will let you know how I get on with the maiden flight later... Again, Thanks for all you help & advice

SHE FLIES ... and flies jolly well too  ::)

Just done my maiden flight ... Coo, aint it fun... Never used RC or flown any model plane, ';copter or multi-wotnot before - I didn';t crash it... err ... well ...err only gently trying to take off with a flat battery, he tipped backwards an dug two prop tips into the soft soil...

I set myself a 5 yard box to fly in and just practiced take offs and landings and keeping the quad within the box - she was nice and responsive.

Today: circuit & bumps, Tomorrow -  barrel rolls and loops!

THANKS Mark & everyone else who helped me to gat her airborne...

Well done Donald, it';s terrific when it all comes together, particularly as you say, you are a complete newcomer.  I';ve known one or two have bad experiences and jack it in at the first hurdle, you';re obviously made of sterner stuff!
Oh, yes, these days whenever i see Morris dancing, i automatically think of the naza dance!

Well done, again mate.

That';s OK Mark, I wouldn';t dream of doubling my fee for allowing you to test your skill and knowledge. In fact, I won';t charge you anything.
