I fully understand the pros and cons regarding 4 in 1 ESCs and I have been running a Hobbywing 4 in 1 for quite a few months on my KK2 F450 quad.

However, has anyone tried one of these from UnmannedTech?

http://www.unmannedtechshop.co.uk/multi-rotor/multirotor-motors-and-esc/quattro-4in1-30a-esc-quadcopter-esc.html

or one of these from ebay?

Cheers.

Flybywire.

Which one?

Sorry!  Well, both look ok actually, but I prefer the ebay one with the plug in cables, although i guess that introduces more points of failure?

Edit: If space is a bit limited, i think it';s a winner, but if not, i';d probably stick with conventional, in case one of them fails.

I would be more inclined to go for the unmannedtech one, if it';s got a switching bec that is not noisy it';s the best configuration barring a separate bec; I like to use sbec esc';s on my planes purely because they are more efficient and reliable than linear becs.

The fact that both 4 in 1 ESCs say they come with ';multirotor'; firmware (SimonK or BLHeli based, i presume) is a very good thing. It wouldn';t be worth considering them otherwise.

One circlip short of a quadcopter.
1 lobe short of an antenna.

Lots of comments.

Cheers. Just about to read my other post regarding linear & switching BECs.
