Just received delivery of a new hummer gimbal from foxtech.
In my excitement to test it, i managed to plug the battery in with the power and ground the wrong way round. dooh!
this seems to have killed it.

But when i plug in to the usb lead  the board lights up with its blue led and the motors twitch. but the gimbal doesnt work as it should with power via the usb.

Can anyone give me any advice on getting this thing working? or do i need to look into ordering a new board?

thanks

You can fix it. See from where exactly was the smoke coming out... this should be reverse polarity protection/fuse.
If you change it will work!
You can remove it and close the circle but if you get the polarity wrong again.. that';s it - game over
:D

I did the exact same thing with mine.Check to see if you have burnt a trace on the back of the board from where the power goes in,if you have and its not badly burnt, you may be able to bridge the burnt trace.
