Do you have any specific landing gear on your F550?

Lakis21, thanks for the pic, looks a nice set up.

Smit80, I have these landing legs.....http://www.uavproducts.com/product.php?id_product=69
They just screw onto the front and rear of the bottom plate, so any attachment of the gimbal will have to be made onto the bottom plate itself.

Well blow me down !!!!!!  I was a bit worried about ordering from RCTimer BUT, ordered on 29th and delivered just now on 5th June. (mind you I did pay for Express Delivery but didn';t expect it to be that Express!!)
I';d checked with DHL tracking and according to them it wasn';t due until 13th, so one happy bunny.

Now just got to check everything, order some new legs and wait for Alexmos controller from Simon at DesireRC.

Peter

Balders

Wow, that';s good!

I ordered one yesterday, it';s got a tracking code so it should in theory be on the way.  I';ll let you know when it arrives :)

Hi Lakis,

Nice setup and vids. What is the height of the landing skids and would you know roughly what thay weigh. The Goodluckbuy website does not give much info on them. Also what batts and props are you running on the setup and what kind of flight times are you getting.
Thanks

Andy.

The height for the bottom plate of the hexa is 21cm.

The height of the bottom plate of the antimount base is 15cm (there I mount the RCTimer Gimbal with out its antivibration kit)

Have a nice day!

Got the gimbal almost assembled now but found that the sides of the gimbal (one side has motor and other side bearings) are not square.  Had to move them apart slightly and then tightened up the screws on to shafts.

I found a picture on t';internet that showed, instead of using the very small grub screws to fasten the side panels onto the motor shaft and bearing and the tilt motor,  they had used some of the cross headed screws that are used to fasten the frame together.  Neat trick, gets much better purchase using a screwdriver instead of a really small hexdriver.
RCTimer Brushless Gimbal (detailed photo';s)

Anyone else who';s assembled the RCTimer gimbal got any screws, circlips, and grub screws left over, I can';t find any homes for them so assume there spares ????

Your lucky . Mine had just enough . Even down to them not providing one for the screw that';s in the wrong place !

If not lined up try it other way around, etc. mine was all skewif until I tried every variation and found the one that is square.
