AIOP v1.1 to gimbal connection

Just trying to work out how a few things go together on the AIOP while I';m waiting for some bits to arrive to get my hexa built. I';m trying to connect a 2 servo gimbal the my AIOP v1.1 and a little confused. In flight planner it gives you the option to connect to RC10 and RC11 ect but on the board there';s 3 connecters numbered 44, 45 and 46 that say trigger, pitch and roll. I';ve seen Peter Kings video where he says he connects to pin 10 and 11 so not sure what to connect too! Also I';m using the power pins (the ones on the bottom left of the board) to power it, do I need to put power in from one of the ESC';s as well to power the gimbal servos on this side of the board?

with running servos it is best to power them from the motor pin connectors or a seperate ubec so you dont brown out the board and only connect the signal wires to the crius gimbal pins

Just watched the video and done some reading looks like there is some issues with jitter if you use the stated pins for gimbal on the crius board and thats why he uses the other pins for the gimbal

Hi Firey, seems like you';re becoming my personal trainer with all this! lol Thanks mate.

So do I use the motor pins and the other power input or just the motor pins?

With the AIOP do I use the pins marked trigger, pitch and roll then for the gimbal?

Sorry Dave was just watching the video and doing some research
have modified my last answer

because the pins he uses are on the other side of the jumper you can just plug the complete servo wire to the pins as it will pull the power from the motor esc not the board

Right got that working plugged into the 10 and 11 pins powered the ESC pins so thanks again mate. The servos are very jittery but I';ll leave playing with settings till it';s all mounted up and on a stable platform. Just so I know my thinking it right, the AIOP has 2 sides as far as power goes, the ESC side including the gimbal control and the side for GPS, Bluetooth ect and both sides need independent power to use everything?

firey1

running servos it pays to have them powered by a different source so using the pins 10 -11 on the motor pin rail the servos are powerd by the esc ubec

jumper 1 removed board is powered by your separate ubec connected to the other pins

this way if a servo jams of goes faulty it wont spike the power going to the board and create a brown out in flight

Right I think I get that. I';ve got the jumper removed so can power the gimbal servos plugged into 10 and 11 with a ESC plugged into say pin 1. Is this the safe way to do it?

firey1

yep  thats the best way to run the gimbal buddy
