GoPro Software for Win7?

Sorry for more questions re GoPro but just picked it up and trying to get it connected to my laptop or desktop (both win7) anyone know where I can get some software that will enable me to config the session (Hero5) with win7 as the only stuff on GoPro website is for win10!
No wonder GoPro are going under if they stop supporting older OS this soon.

Have you tried the Android / iOS app? It's pretty good. Never needed to hook mine up to the laptop.

have you tried installing the software anyway? or running it in compatibility mode?

Cheers. I have installed the Android app and it seems to connect fine over wifi.
I have also installed GoPro studio that works on Win7.

I tried to install latest software but it won't even install let alone select compatibility modes.
Is there a way to install with a compatibility mode selected as they are greyed out?

Now to get a mount, a screen and protector ordered and find out how to edit footage  ::)
