What is an octo? arms or props?

Is it classed on arm outreach or number of props plus motors for an octo? This mother is the love of my life and will never see flight. The only thing she will she is abit of daylight when I polish her down.

An octo refers to the number of motors/props, can be either 4 or 8 arms.
Bit strange when you think of a Y6, why not call it a H8?

The Octo is also another way of increasing the build cost  by aproxamatly 45%.....

An octo has 8 arms.
A X8 has 4 arms with 8 motors and is in the shape of a X.
A H8 would have a body in the shape of an H and have 8 motors.

I have had a Aeronavics Sky Jib X4 TiQR fitted with the DJI A2 flight controller since 2015 lifting a Canon 5d Mk2 or GH4 and its my work horse. Most film companies like the heavy weight UAV's due to the stability.
