OK, unless you want to cringe, I suggest you don't watch more than the section I'm about to identify, but you might like to watch and comment on................

What about it?

That could be perfectly legal footage! If it's taken hobbyist then it's wrong but if not.........

If you see dangerous flying with your own eyes report it, other than that, I believe you should just turn a blind eye as you don't know the full picture and you come across like you've got a pitch fork, that's my opinion anyway.

Can't say the video did anything for me though [emoji3]

Watched it (reasonably enjoyable), was a little weird do you not think
Was there any cgi ?
It was a model train,,, right ?

My take on the footage,  must have been a very very large model setup, possibly in a warehouse, filmed with a drone obviously, but speeded up and slowed down in the final edit  to give a feel of realisum.
No people, vehicles, animals, birds, sun, clouds, ripples on water.
If you notice close to the end, the lady and gent riding the railroad, and the wash from the props rustling the bushes and the glimpse of a  multirotor arm coming into frame.
So it wasn't real time, real world.
Don’t know where the comments of legal or not come from,,,,wasn't even filmed outdoors.
Did make me smile though.

Friskle

of course the footage was real.. the bushes were moving way in the distance

At what point did I even HINT at legality or illegality? Do I have to spell it out to you? OK, since you have jumped, I'll write my question more explicitly for you.

I was interested in camera drone users comment. I wanted to see what they would say and didn't want to lead the witness, but was/am interested with regard the length of the video coupled with the apparent distance travelled by drone and the train, its quality, and where the pilot would have been.

I don't and will not own a camera drone, but that does not stop me being interested in how that sort of result was achieved?

Let's I.D the drone arm

Single arm slot and P4 has dual?

P3 has no slots there and four motor screws would be visible?

DarkButterfly

Shame it was dropping frames, that looked very impressive ~~

Could be kept within VLOS if the operator is on the train, would be one hell of a challenge for take off and landing.
Why use 4 motors when you can use 6?

Yup, thought that.  I have two Tx with GPS built in that could be set up to re-transmit their current GPS to drone to realign RTH location, but what I don't know is how often that could be updated or even if it could be set to cope with that movement speed!!  :wack0

In the "drone arm" pic, is that a Tx in the hands of the man? And is the lady in the other end bay acting spotter/catcher??    :azn
