China sourced Shipping - LiPos

Just had a notification thus:-

"Thank you for placing order No xxxxxxxxxxx.  We regret to inform you that we received a new notification that your order was returned due to the battery restriction. In this case, we would like to change the shipping method to deliver your parcel again.

Please be kindly noticed that the parcel would be delayed for 2-3 business days before its reshipment.   We deeply apologize for any inconvenience this might have caused you."

First time I have had that, though it has seemed that LiPo supply has been taking longer and longer from time of sale/shipment to reaching me.

Also, a while back some were coming in via Switzerland, then more recently Sweden.  I do not know the route this last order was taking, only that it bounced!

Anyone else had issues recently?

I completely stopped buying LiPos from overseas last year. Far too much hassle.
Even if they're a few quid more from UK supplier:
- You get them next day / same week
- Easy to return if faulty
- No surprise tax on delivery
- No sweatng over customs.
- No Lipos shipped inside pink cuddly toy (yep, that happened to me!)

I get mine on Amazon (prime) and they arrive next day, free shipping.

Well that's better than some of my batts, they came in a  vac-pac bag stuffed with a lot of dried smelly  flower heads and some blocks of white powder. Useless...  At least you got  a toy as well

I want a couple of spare lipo`s for the silly hubsan i have ordered and cant find anything like what i want in UK, i can see this being a problem, i want the 750mah but might have to settle for 610mah and a slight drop in flight time

This is OK and all good stuff provided the type of battery is available in UK, but two types I use are not, hence ordering from China.
