Hello

ive got a matek f405 fc board, (firstly can not get it to flash firmware even in boot mode, i can connect it to bheli and betaflight perfect but just can not flash it says failed to open serial port. once in betaflight im on dshot300, anti gravity activated and tested each motor and all seems fine, they all move freely even hand turning.

props are on and secure and also the bolts on motors are to, ive reflashed esc from 16.6 to 16.7 still no joy when i hover i get very slight yaw twitches and when i go fast it gets worse, i dont understand this as ive had matek f405 board in past and have been fine

can you guys help me

Cheredanine

Hi mate, so firstly flashing.
Sounds like the board does not go into DFU mode, what do the LEDs on the board do with the boot shorted? Try connecting to the fc with bf. Go to the cli, type DFU and hit return, it should enter DFU and you should be able to flash

Yaw jitters are difficult. There can be a number of causes. These include-
Stack not properly secure (you sure it is tightly secured and soft mounts are not too soft)
Yaw p term too high
Cpu load too high
Then there is the possibility that the props or motors are unbalanced or the pre is electrical or physical jitter

I would work through in that order.
I would also check your filters. On the config tab enable dynamic filtering, turn off both notch filters and switch the filter type to pt1

Hi greggmaN,

Is this the AIO version by any chance? I've heard many complain of the same issue but I haven't had this problem with any of the three quads I've build with the Matek F405 non AIO version.

Go through the points Cheredanine has listed above as these are some of the common causes of Yaw jitter. However if it's an AIO board i'm quite certain the issue will be caused by voltage spikes from your ESC/Motors and filter caps will be required, messing with the filters can help but I would highly recommend eliminating the issue.

sorted needed soft mounting, now its working took it for a spin up n down road and half way through battery started getting faint lines seems like its getting noise from motors, i have a capacitor on from the xt60 connection on pdb, the video cable is spliced with the video cable on the cam and is fine can you think of anything else i need to check thanks for you help before :)

The rubber stand offs that come with Matek boards are great.

As for your video issues, how are you powering your VTX and camera?

powering it off pdb, spliced the two ground and 2 power and put it through pdb, ives just tightened the pdb as it was 1mm loose and its fixed it slightly but when i turn quad left and right theres a faint lines but if i hold quad centre, and slightly tilted forward its fine

greggmaN

the audio from vtx and video cable from cam to vtx are just spliced and not going through fc....i dont think it would be that thats causing it

FIXED, motor 4 was dodey span all motors up all were fine excpet that one...it was giving bad noise off in goggles, changed it and it worked..

Glad you got it sorted! Just one other possible solution for anyone else who may stop by with this issue! Try disabling 32k mode if you’ve enabled it. Drop back to 8k - worked for me.
