Struggling to resist the temptation

I loved building my Rooster and I'm feeling the temptation especially with the summer hols coming up.

I'm tilting towards trying out a kiss build, but not 100% sure as my Rooster is a joy to fly and I feel I either need to sell a few of my quads or fly more:D

So far,
Kiss V2 FC
Kiss 32amp Escs - worth it? or spedix 32bit 30amp
Impulse Reverb Frame
F40 Pro 2 2400 kv motors / or 2500?
TBS unify pro
Might stick a swift 2 in, what's the best option now?

The kissed alien is a well established setup, I think it would go with kiss ESCs if I was going down that route.

Cam wise imho, best of current crop is the foxeer predetor on runcam sparrow but not sure how well they fit in a reverb frame

F40 pro 2 really can’t fault, 2400kv would be where I go, 2500 are really for that extra bit on racing but they are not quite at high kv level

I agree with Cheredanine, keep with the KISS ESC's if you are going down that route.

Not sure if the Mr Steele PDB fits on the Reverb...if it does, then that would be a good addition to get OSD enabled on the setup, not to mention making the build easier and cleaner as well.

Reverb has its own pdb, you get it with the frame from droneislife but have to buy it separately from other suppliers I have seen, although price reflects this

That is correct yes, but it's merely a point to point PDB with a JST GH connector for the ESC signal connection. The main thing is to try and get OSD for a KISS setup (and connector types) without having to look at 3de party suppliers like Matek, and the only option currentluy out there is unfortunatly the Mr. Steele PDB.

I have a Martian 2 cheap build that I might take apart, could use that frame.

Seen a few get the PDB to fit the Reverb, so that's an option.
Going to be a pricey build I think.

CAM/ VTX I'm sure I have a Unify / Swift 2 lying about & also have the Cam from the Diatone gt200s spare.


At the same time I was looking into upgrading my tiny whoop, old ones a bit battered and does not like descending one bit.
Would love one cable of some acro.
