Not sure what you mean mate,
What I meant is they are at Atmel chip Simonk bootloader running blheli, from around the time of the origional dys sn20 when charpu first started uploading vids. This hobby moves so fast that they are miles behind current technology both in capability and usability, fully aware they won';t connect to blheli from a pc - wasn';t me suggested it

Didn';t mean any offence, sri

ok i think i solved the problem with the ESC';s. trail and testing :D

FS-T6 TX and FS-R6B are only borrowed however plan to get my own. Would it just be easier and less hassle and beating around the bush to instead get a FS-i6 with iA6B and hook the wires via PPM while telling clean flight its a PPM connection. that seems easier

iA6B

my only problem now is the FS-T6 with the fs-r6b none one the channels respond to input when i plug in all of my channels only AUX1 and AUX2 work. I plugged the 3 wire connector into channel 1 and then the rest into the other channels and nothing is working apart from my AUX channels. if i plug the AUX cables in to ch3 then i can use throttle stick but it will change the AUX slider/bar.

ESC/Motor Protocol is on PWM and the receiver is set to PWM RX input

So mate,
The thing is this:
Radio talks to reciever
Reciever talks to flight controller

That is what you can see in the reciever tab

If that isn';t working, how the fc talks to the escs and motors are irrelevant.

The fc needs to understand what protocol the reciever is talking to it in

You can';t just change the wiring between ppm and pwm and expect it to work

Pwm uses a seperate wire for each channel
Ppm uses one wire for all channels

So based on your statement about Rx is set to pwm and esc is set to pwm, whilst the second bit is necessary for flight, it isn';t relevant to what we are looking at here

My next question is what is the flight controller expecting from the Rx.
You can find this on the config tab on the left hand side, please confirm what the Rx is set to

Jazzz, mate, not sure, but I think I offended you, really didn';t mean to, sorry

Sly

I understand that the Transmitter talks to the receiver and then receiver talk to the Flight controller. My original problem was 1 motor wasn';t beeping and continued to spin at 0 throttle but responded to throttle responses and when put back to 0 throttle it will spin for 5s then stop on its own. I fixed that issue.

Now i want to hook the receiver to the FC which works fine after i plug in my battery. my FC powers up however when i move inputs on the transmitter nothing moves apart from AUX1 and AUX2 in the "Receiver" tab. Aux1 and 2 are my green and yellow wires. If i plug them into CH3 and CH4 then i can move AUX 1 and 2 with my throttle and roll sticks. any other wire that gets plugged in doesn';t get recognised.

I am not expecting to switch from PWM to PPM and it magically working but hey if i need and TX and RX anyway may as well get one that supports PPM.

Yes my RX is set to "PWM RX input" and my "ESC/Motor protocol" is set to PWM along with PID loop frequency to 0.5.

I did some testing and i plugged my ESC';s and motors into another drones Flight Controller which is running LibrePilot on a CC3D FC and it seemed to work fine with arming then increasing throttle.

I think you may need to find someone local to look at your quad as this seems to be going round and round in circles.

Ok mate, using pwm on an sprf3 requires both io1 and io2, the two long ports either side of the flight controller, to be connected to the reciever.
The reciever has 6 channels, these are on pins numbered 1 to 6
Each one of these needs to be connected to the flight controller

This is the sprf3 manual:
http://seriouslypro.com/files/SPRacingF3-Manual-latest.pdf
Go to page 4

As you can see, io1 is on the left, io2 is on the right
In the pictures on page 1 you are only connected by three wires to io1

Look at the left hand side of page 4 in the little coloured boxes for io1 and io2, as you can see channels 1,2,5 and 6 connect to io1,
Channels 3 and 4 connect to io2.

These correspond directly to the numbers on your reciever.

Using pwm you need to connect the first 4 at least as these are the sticks, if you want to use switches, for arming or changing mode for example, you will need 5 and 6

You will also need a ground and 5v connection so you will need 8 wires total

If you use ppm you need three wires, Which is how it is in the photo you took on the previous page, but you need to configure the fc to run ppm and the Rx needs to be sending ppm

You need to decide which you want to use, ppm or pwm

Ill try out what you suggested tomorrow/today. Got a busy day tomorrow. I got a TX and RX on order. gonna use PPM. less cables to mess around with.

Unfortunately i would but where i live drones are none existent.people end up calling the police because a suspicious drone flying around over a park or kids start messing around... Had a RC nitro car and had people complaining about noise. Some guys are awesome and come over and talk to you and seem generally interested. Closest hobby shop only deals with Nitro cars, Toy trains for modelling scenery and sell the toy quad copters for kids.

I feel like progress has been made. I had the 1st issue of none of my motors doing nothing when plugging no beeps and one motor just twitched.i thought we fried the ESC';s or motors which i am happy they was not and now it is solved.
