Just got myself an eagle, looked at stock settings and  wdr is on already do you leave them as they are or is there a good video to adjust anything else like brightness, colour and sharpness? Just want the best out of it....also i heard the latency is like 49ms to the hs1177 11ms....can you tell?? Or is it very hard to tell difference?

I have the same camera and have bumped up edges and sharpness to +2.

As for latency. Joshua Bardwell has done a video on this and the results were that by the time you add human reaction times into it, the difference in latency is pretty unnoticeable. Also it is mentioned that because the eagle has a higher resolution, your better off being able to see the finer details like cables & twigs. No amount of low latency will be able to make you avoid those

Generally I don';t use cmos but given ccd sensors won';t be out after 2022 gonna have to change at some time

Generally the only change I make is enable wdr if it isn';t already enabled
The rest tends to be a bit blurry at speed and makes no difference

Wasn';t overly impressed with JBs vid tbh.
Measuring the latency is trivial: set a timer on your phone. Point the cam you are testing at it and put the screen with the cam image next to the phone, then take a photo.

The difference between the two clocks is the latency.

Latency on cmos is getting towards 50ms.

Do the math, at about 60kmh which is no where near top end for a racing quad, you will be about a meter out on the fpv feed with cmos, race wise this isn';t the end of the world for most but the best pilots.
Freestyle, well imagine those shots where people dive behind a tree and pull up coming back under the branches, now imagine they decided to pull up a meter lower than where they thought.

Now that is most definatley the worst case scenario. Most of the time cmos will be fine, but I still prefer ccd
