Apologies for the format but I';m in work so this is the simplest way to share my basket.

I';ve picked these through a combination of advice and blind guessing....

There';s a charger as well not pictured. I know I';ll need props as well, and a camera transmitter?

I';d just like to know if I';m on the right track or if theres anything major I should change. I';m planning to order as many of the bits I';ll need as possible from Banggood.

This is all very confusing!

My main advice is to look into a better camera. I buy mine from surveilzone.com and what you want is a hs1177 based camera. There are a few to choose from, some have more features but they all sit in the £30-£40 bracket. Sounds a lot but you will be getting one eventually! That cmos camera isn';t going to give you a good image.
The frame works fine but is a blatant clone. Each to there own on this one, but clones are cheap and a good entry into the hobby for little money, but they do take revenue from the genuine innovators - that';s a personal moral thing I guess.
Finally, I couldn';t say for sure about the flight controller, but you can get some original and high performing ones for about £25.
You';ll find banggood  can be really useful for somethings (I';ve got motors, esc';s, frsky stuff and bits ';n'; bobs without issue) and some of it is junk! Of what you have selected the frame, camera and flight controller would be my concern.

Frame is an alien clone, not the fastest but good and solid
No issues with escs, they are rebadged cicadas, although 30amp is probably more than you need
Motors are mediocre but cheap, may also be damage prone because of the latter but that is entirely hypothetical, if you can afford to get cobra champion 2205 2300kv

Bothe the cam and the flight controller are crap
The cam default is hs1177 style for the alien frame, you should be able to pick one up cheap ish but not that cheap. (20odd quid) although you need some sort of voltage sensor so I would suggest a runcam swift v2 which will fit the frame and has built in voltage display

The flight controller is an sprf3 clone, it has an i2c gyro, possibly mpu 6500 or 9250 - just gah!
Spend a bit more money and get something like a lumenier lux v2

Vtx I like tbs unify pro hv, although for banggood cheap and cheerful Fx799t are ok

Edit: elmattbo beat me to it but two main points are the same (fc and cam) if the Martian is a direct clone I doubt that cam will even fit

Also don';t think the Martian comes with voltage regs, if not you are gonna need 12v and possibly 5v regs (fc like the lux will avoid the 5v requirement)

shawdreamer

everything seems ok but personally Id tone down the esc';s a bit.

The racerstar oneshot escs are pretty good and so far in my experience pretty bulletproof (Ill vouch for the 2205 2300kv motors too, I use them on multiple frames) but you wont need 30a, going by the rest of your setup you';d probably be fine with the 12a version of the same range, failing that to err on the side of caution 20a.

the 20a';s are nice and compact and will be unobtrusive on a martian arm, they barely ever show heat when used with the 2205';s also.

Thanks for the replies, I';ll look i to a different FC and cam.

There';s no way I could afford those cobra motors at the moment. Are there any others I could look at? Even if it';s from some where other than Banggood.

If it';s a deal breaker in terms of flying or not, then stick with the ones you';re buying. When you have to buy everything to start out the bill does add up.
Also in FPV there is a relationship between price and quality; you start at cheap crap that is cheap and crap, cheaper medium performance (your motors), mid range good performance (emax rs2205 ';red bottoms'; etc), upper range top performance (most brotherhobby stuff and similar) and expensive top performing (skitzo, mr steele motors etc). There is very little if any difference between those last 2 categories in performance so you can make your own mind up where the sweet spot is!
However, you probably won';t be disappointed with your motor choice initially but they will be first on the upgrade list in the future, so make sure you get a good 25A or 30A esc as you have done. It gets expensive when you have to upgrade motors AND esc';s in one go!
As an alternative to C';s VTX, I';ve recently got a Unify Pro HV which I';m very pleased with. However previous to that I always got Aomway and I have NEVER had a single problem with them (apart from an SMA that I damaged myself and replaced). I currently fly this on my go to Alien and apart from being a bit chunky, it';s performed flawlessly.

Looks ok for a starter racing drone.

As people say maybe change camera and Main Board.

Never get into anything bigger, that';s when you get eye watering cost';s

I started building a Octo and already upto £2500 havent even got camera or TX yet  :cry
