Crius AIOP V1.1 problems

I wonder if anyone can help as im building my first quad and struggling with the software side. I bought my kit as a box of parts from the US which I was assured had the latest multiwii firmware on the board was bound and ready to be assembled and flown. however the Tx was not bound to the Rx and the board will not arm. ive tried arduino using multiwii and megapirate from the links on the forum but during the verify process there are a list of faults and it will not upload. ive tried to download any firmware from the board back to arduino but cannot find how to do this or a flash reset, my board is connected as I can see the com port and the board settings and have run a basic blink test which completes ok. when the board boots I am left after a sequence of the red A light flashing with just a static yellow light on B.

I have a Crius AIOP V1.1 with GPS, Bluetooth and sonar modules pre wired but if I cant solve this it looks like selling the board and starting with something more straight forward for now may be my best option?

thanks in advance for what im sure will be a dull and boring question to most as im sure its just something simple im missing!

Hello,
which program you are try to load through arduino?
Do you want Multiwii or Megapirate ?
Which GPS you have? If you want Loiter or Position Hold with the GPS then you have to go to megapirate.

If you are trying megapirate you have to copy the libraies folder from megapirate directory to the arduino directory. After that you can compile the Megapirate without errors. Also when you connect with the USB Cable you have to disconect the bluetooth module.
By the way if the TX is not bind with the Receiver , that nothing to do with the firmware....

Hi Rich1664 and welcome to the forum as Lakis said you need to replace the library files in arduino if your going to upload megapirate,
But you dont need to if your uploading multi wii it uses the standard library files, I currently use v1.04 of the arduino app with no problems, the first thing you need to check is that when you plug in your AIOP board it creates a com port you can check this in device manager of windows,
the second important thing is to have the correct board type selected in the app this would be <  Arduino Mega 2560 or Mega ADK > under the tools / board menu  ~~

these are the most common causes of errors when uploading code using the app give it another try and get back to us, always feel free to ask any questions you like or even drop in chat and ask there we often talk people through problems and even connect to peoples computers using the team viewer app to help them, if we can help we will  ~~  :beer2:

Sounds like you need to start by binding tx/rx.

You usually do this with a binder wire across gnd to signal on one of rx inputs, and then powering up.

then, power up tx with bind button pressed.

after binding, power off tx and rx, remove bind wire, and power everything up again - should now be bound.

megapirateng is full right yaw for 2 seconds to arm. left 2 sec to unarm motors.

On the side of connecting: you can try without flashing board on the assumption it already has multiwii or megapirate on it:

- download multiwii gui and ardupilot APM.

ensure when you plug your AIO into usb you can see the uart port in windows as a new com port (under com ports), and start up multiwii and try to connect. If that works - it';s multiwii. Otherwise try APM.
