Anyone seen one of these in the flesh:

I just stumbled across it while looking for some parts for my STOL-500. Looks to be an electric powered octocopter, with an IC powered contra-rotating pair in the middle.

It';s also 1200mm across and boasts flight times of 4-5 times that of equivalent-sized drones - I assume this';ll be due to the electric motors not having to lift so much, thanks to the IC contra-pair.

I bet you could slig a full-size DSLR under that without too much worry!

With an ic onboard  I would think vibration and  exhaust gunk would be a problem.. Grease me up Scotty. ::)

 Nice ideal with the hybrid thing would help with flight times but nitro? needs a 2 stroke ported lump in there

Heh. A couple of good points. Although, I';m not sure it';ll be a good AP platform, unless you like that smoky, exhaust, soft-tone look on your pics 

But, fail safe would be good. It could parachute down on the IC power, OR electric... depending on what copped out first!
