3rd Party Apps

Afternoon all.

I now have my phantom 3 I got for Christmas. Up to now I have taken it out of the box and put the battery on charge. Next I intend on following the instructional videos.

I seem to see a lot of reference to 3rd party apps on here so just wondering if anyone has a preference and why.

HI Steve, the app that you want first is the DJi Go app http://www.dji.com/product/goapp?www&www=v1
There is another app that can be used the Litchi app which allows you to do more things but for a start I would use the DJi Go.
There is a good forum for Phantom owners called Phantom Pilots http://www.phantompilots.com/ also there are countless videos on You Tube to watch and keep you busy for hours.

I already have to DJI app. I';m just looking at other apps.

I tried litchi but found it really unstable, I';d get force closes very often with it (never have with the DJI app), this was running on my 2013 Nexus tablet. It did have some real nice features though but I was always too worried with how unstable the app was that it';d do something horrible to my P3 :)
