How hard would it be to get some M3 30mm bolts :)

Very as it turns out.... was hoping to maiden quad this weekend but the bolts that turned up aren';t fully threaded  :banghead:

Oh well... hoping tomorrow they';ll turn up and i can finish up and test

In this hobby it is as wise to start off a small collection of minor parts such as M3 and M4 bolts, nyloc nuts, washers ... that kind of stuff.  When I got into it, April last year, I soon found myself in need of these tiny bits that somehow cars and motorcycles do not use!  So eBay is your friend ::)

Just for future reference and to save you ordering the wrong things, bolts aren';t fully threaded, if that';s what you want they are set screws.

I have felt your pain! If you can';t find a local specialist fastener supplier, most industrial estates have one, then eBay is your best bet, I';ve used a supplier called kayfast1 who for me have been particularly good for A2 stainless nuts and bolts.

Actually said it on the listing .... just didn';t read :)

Have now ordered screws which are fully threaded

I have a box full of various nuts and bolts from my Heli builds ... just happen to need this particular size and they arrived this morning so i was all set to finish off the quad for this weekend to test .... i could make do but i';ll be patient

Was just having a whinge :)

Try modelfixings, specialists in supplying modellers. They have a wide range with very good service.

Get all mine at model fixings and always over order and add other sizes to the order each time to make up the postage so that way I';ve built up a tidy stock of various sizes and types .....

for quality stainless cap screws I always order from here http://r.ebay.com/zw2aYT  most screws come with free nyloc nuts, quick delivery good prices and you choose how many you want as well  can';t fault them

gowen

I buy most of my fixings from cpc.co.uk.  Postage is free on Web orders even if you only buy one small item and most things arrive the next day if you order before noon.  They are also good for zip ties.

I also order from Kays on ebay, infact they are the only place I get screws, nuts, and washers from.  Good prices and really fast shipping.  Highly recommend them for hardware.

Anyone know where to get Nylon nuts & bolts from? Could do with a decent supplier of them.

I bought from fleabay a couple of times. TBW Fasteners stood out for a good selection and quick delivery. They are not the cheapest though.
