Camera gimbal query

Crius aiop V2 with Megaprate v2.7 r4, gimbal roll on pins 45, pitch on pins 44

After a slight altercation where the ground leapt up headbuttted the front of my quad I had to realign everything mechanically.  But now I have a problem.  My gimbal roll is not level with the ground and I cannot find how to set the trim.  Also, I was going to replace the crappy cheapo servo with a futaba one, but it works the other way so needs to be reversed, and again I cannot find how to do that.

I';ve been through mission planner, and on the camera gimbal page the only thing that is checked is "stabilise roll", which is fine cos it works, if I uncheck it the gimbal does not operate in the roll.  All the other boxes are greyed out or blank.

Can anyone point me in the right direction?

thanks

Brushless gimbals controllers now available at a reasonable cost in eBay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300877572939?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 ...More to come... ::)

There';s a reverse tick box for each of the axis on the gimbal setup page in mission planner.if not you may need to update your version of mission planner.

There';s should also be a neutral pos setting as well. Another option if you wanted to adjust the neutral position whilst in flight for example is to use a spare output from your radio tx and route it to a spare input on the crius. Set that input to be controlled by one of the pots/knobs on your tx. Then on the input drop down box on the axis you want to adjust select the channel you have wired your tx output to.

Works pretty well. I';m sending this on my phone so can';t post a link but if you look in the gimbal section of this forum I posted a few screen shots of my gimbal setup page last weekend.

Thanks guys, I';ll give it a go again in mission planner.  The thing is, I spent a lot if time yesterday trying to get it to work but no matter what I did in mission planner, apart from the "stabilise roll" tick box nothing seemed to take effect.  I tried the reverse check box and updated the parameters, but nothing happened.  It is as though those options are not available to me.  Either that or there is a comms error.

I had the exact same issue last weekend. I think it something to do with the latest mission planner update as when I was playing about with it a while back, my changes took effect instantly. Maybe try and roll back a version or two in mission planner. I spent hours and hours on it lat weekend but a while back it only took me 2 mins to set up.

I think you are on to something with it being mission planner

I was using 1.2.36 and the only change i could make was roll stabilise.  I';ve gone back to 1.2.32, and it is the same.
Servo and angle limits are greyed out, nothing else i do has any effect. The boxes that show ';disable'; or ';RC5'; etc are blank.

Frustration is building!

Can I go back any further than 1.2.32?

Any other thoughts

If you have still got problems with. 32 then I don';t think that';s the issue because it was. 32that worked OK for me. :-( usual if you just tick the stabilize box the greying out changes. Alternatively try setting it directly on the advanced params list.

Thanks Rob, that was a good pointer to the advanced params list.  Whatever I want to do I have to work from the advanced params list.

I had to take an enforced break from this but got back to it over Easter weekend.  Have made some progress by using the advanced params list and have got the roll element to a point I am generally happy with it, but I continue to have tilt problems.

I don';t seem to be able to set the tilt to a neutral position with equal positive and negative movement.  It will always sit at full minimum tilt travel so that, for example, if I pitch the quad up it will stabilise and keep level with the horizon, but if I pitch down it is already at max travel.

And neither the roll or tilt seem to be able to make full use of the entire servo movement available.
