I was pricing one up a few days ago. A bit of fun for the winter months. I found that 130mm was the smallest for accepting brushless motors. IIRC banggood do a 110 kit but it';s a bit too small IMO. I added up the weights and estimated 200g with a 500mAh 3s.

I built rotorx 122 atom!

Lives up to its name also, its running rotorx 1104 4000,was thinking about upping the motors either on this 122 or on a 150 lizard thats sat waiting on a 5v reg stepdown & cam, just waiting on banggood delivery.

Its realy tight build,no pdb,it was daisy chained although ritorx has a pdb/fc combo for this quad, you can slot a minimosd into the pdb also iirc.

recommend one but i didnt use the v2,that one is machined differently if you check the versions.everything is soldered and rx is depinned.

Its running 850 3s

Naze32
Eachine 200mw tx
Flysky rx depinned
Minimosd
Tiny cam thats actualy great, like 1cm squared
Pololu 5v reg
3020 props

Glad you actualy brought up this topic as its made me remember that i wanted bigger motors for my 150 lizard and now i gone round shopping, looks like possible candidate is emax red bottom 1306 4000,banggood are only 2-3 quid cheaper but £40 for such tiny motors :o

Just remember they are just tinier and the components cost just as much but its a challenging build but the atoms proved to be pretty resilient so far.smaller certainly dosnt mean cheaper.

I quite fancy this 80mm malarkey now, the FlexRC Pico X frame is really cheap but not when you pay shipping and handling :(

Does anyone actually make 2" props or do they have to be cut down?

I';m thinking of doing this thing with a standard F3 F/C and a 4 in 1 ESC to save trying to jam ESCs on the tiny arms.

What would be the benefits of 1102/1103/1104 motors?

What motors did you buy for it,i ordered some of the emax 1306 4000 red bottoms from bg for a 150 lizard.with 1105 4000 that frame you are getting will be well nippy, these smaller frames pack some punch even on 1104!

I love throwing my 122 out front when weather permits it.
