Issue with CRIUS AIO Pro Multiwii

Hello folks,

I have a problem with Crrius AIO board. The thing is that when i first tried to setup the board everything was working perfectly. However when i connected the ESC';s and the power multiwii stopped working. More specifically i was unable to arm the motors, so i decided to configure it again. First i tried to clear eeprom, but i got this error: "verification error; content mismatch". Then i decided to upload the code again, but when i launched the multiwiiconf it was not responding.

**Currently i';m using mac and Multiwii 2.4
** Also my system can';t detect the BN and SN:
BN: Unknown board
SN: Upload any sketch to obtain it
** My Settings inside arduino IDE:
Board: Arduino/Genuino mega or mega 2560
processor: Atmega2560 (Mega 2560)

PS. Please somebody help me.. I';m trying to build the drone for almost 4 months, so i really need your help to finish my project )))

I seen somewhere if you upgrade the firmware you need to do this first run EEPROM_Clear then upgrade it. If you don';t do EEPROM_Clear the FC will stop working.

To get EEPROM_Clear go here https://code.google.com/archive/p/rush-osd-development/downloads and download EEPROM_Clear.zip.

But if you didn';t upgrade the FC I don';t know what is wrong.

I have a Multiwii Pro and firmware is v2.1 and someday I will do the upgrade to v2.4 but not yet.
If I know a question I don't ask. If I don't know the question then I ask. So please help me.
If someone needs help and I know the answer I will help them. That the way I am.

Hello jack,

I have tried what you suggested, but unfortunately there was a problem. When i uploaded the  EEPROM_Clear sketch, here is what happened:
I got this message when the uploading was finished:

------------------------------------------------------------------

avrdude: verification error, first mismatch at byte 0x0000
         0x27 != 0xf9
avrdude: verification error; content mismatch
avrdude: verification error; content mismatch
-----------------------------------------------------------------------

Any ideas, what might be the cause ??

Jack

Sorry I can';t help and I only told what I seen. Do a search on youtube you can fine a video on that. You can ask a question to the video up loader that question and maybe he can help you. Hope this helps you and if you fine out please post it.

I tried couple of things, but none of them helped. First i installed old version of Arduino IDE and then i updated FTDI/USB drivers, unfortunately it didn';t solve the problem. I think there is a problem with the board itself, despite the fact that all the LED';s are flashing correctly. I searched the google to find the solution, but nobody knows what to do...

That being said can anybody suggest me any cheap Multiwii board?

atomiclama

You can have mine for the cost of postage, no idea what that would be though.

My firmware that in the Hobbyking Multiwii Pro is version 2.1. Since you had problem with install the firmware on your FC now I';m not sure if I should try my FC going from v2.1 to v2.3.

EDIT:
And why I want to go to v2.3 because v2.4 dose not have a v2.4 version of Multiwii winGUI. Version 2.3 of Multiwii winGUI can setup or program a flight plan to where you want it to fly or a route to fly.

Actually we don';t know what';s the problem with my board, there my might be some issue with the hardware. Anyways i think that multiwii boards have lost their popularity long time ago, there is no support and it';s likely that people will stop using them in the future. The only reason why i bought mine is that i need it for my project, which is based on multiwii board.

At the begging everything was fine, but after i made couple of changes it stoped working, so my advice to you would be not upgrade firmware to their latest and greatest v2.4  ;)

ps.  Is there any new board which is based on multiwii?

Jack

I don';t know of any new boards. Did your come with 2.4 or did you upgrade it?

I came with V2.4, and have never tried old versions until it stoped working. Only then i decided to run v2.3 and v2.1, unfortunately i didn';t help.

I think I';m going to try and upgrade from 2.1 to 2.4. There is a member on Multiwii Forum that is trying to help me. I use Arduino 1.0.5 r2 and loaded config.h into Sketch then I setup config.h but I got a error when I went to verify it. Here is a picture of the error I receive.

I sent him a message to tell me what to do or fix it.

There is no Multiwii winGUI 2.4 so he told me how to fix that problem.

And he told me how to clear EEPROM I just have plug it in to the Computer and push the reset button on the FC. He also told me the upgrade was is easy to do, so I hope so.
