Just had a piece of toast  and peanut butter for lunch and for the first time I actually read the label

Now who would have believed a jar of peanut butter would contain traces of nuts?

Do they actually pay someone to test it to see if it does??  Or is this another eurocratic thing we will be leaving behind???

I think the clue is in the text..';traces of nuts';.  It';s more trades description than safety!

My favourites are Tesco';s mixed nuts big warning on back may contain nuts surely the clue is that you are buying a bag of nuts in the first place and if it did not contain nits surely it would be just a bag

The problem is that peanut butter shouldn';t contain nuts, because peanuts aren';t nuts.

It should have the warning "Contains Peanuts"

Theyre a member of the pea family and are a legume

I only actually know this because have a mate that has a real nut allergy, in his case hazelnuts (which are actually nuts) and anaphylactic shock is truly scary to witness
