Motor fault

One of my new motors is playing up. It worked for a few test runs but now It doesnt run properly. It stops and starts and looks like it has something stuck in it. It also runs slower than the other motors. But when I spin it with my finger it feels smooth. Have tried it with different esc but same happens. And re calibrated it. Do i need to buy a new motor or can it be fixed

You could drop open the motor up (typically a circlip on the bottom of the shaft), and pull the outrunner off and check that there';s nothing in there. I suspect not from what you say - and I';d just replace the motor as its not worth the risk.

Sometimes the magnets attract something such a small grub screw or a shard of metal so its always worth checking for this first. Although you can often tell if there';s something in there when you spin it by hand.

I ordered the kit from rctimer. It takes ages to come so eant to get some from uk. The size is 2830 1000kv. Do I just search for them numbers and buy any motor that has the same number. Or do I have have to check wattage and stuff.

Ive contacted rctimer about one of there motors losing power and over heating. They said to test the bearing as if it is that then they will send me some new bearing. How do I test the bearings?  The motor seems to spin easily
