Help with racing drone, picks up controls and doesn't utilise them

My dad is building a racing drone and he has just finished, just before he finished he tested out the motors and controller (transmitter) it all worked well but now he is finished, when he turns the drone on the motors just go crazy and spin although the transmitter is being left alone and the program he has the drone plugged into is left alone too.

Once this stops he trys using the transmitter but the drone doesnt respond.We know the drone is picking up the transmitters signal, as you can see the activity in the program he is using but the motors take no notice. He does the motion of arming the drone also, as this happend when testing, the drone was disarmed and he moved the stick to the left/right to arm/disarm it.

If anyone knows what to do then please help! I can ask him for more information if needed.

Calibrate the motors/esc set min/max throttle?

I don';t have an answer but if you could find out which flight controller he is using and what software he is using that might help people to give you some clues.

Could be many things
Calibration
Failsafe
Shorts etc etc

As other have said, kind of need to know what he is using,

Has he changed anything on the escs?
