APM 2.6 won't connect to MissionPlanner

As you can guess from the subject, my APM won';t connect to mission planner.  :cry I had it on an old Tarot 650 (780mm extension ~~) but decided to part out the motors and put the FC on a new 450 size quad. It worked when I last used it on the Tarot, but since the switch it will not seem to connect.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated!!! Not sure if it';s just that I need to find a way to flash the firmware or what. ....Currently I have telemetry as I always have used....when I try to go that route the LEDs on the two modules turn solid green so I assume they connect. When I try the hardwired way I do get a new "COM7" with "Atmega" as I usually do using that particular port....it just times out every time I try to reconnect. I';ve tried every BAUD rate too (not sure what is right anymore). I have tried updating the MP but its the same computer and everything I';ve always used it on.

Is there any known way to manual reset and flash the APM or something?? Please help!!
