VTX positioning on 250s

I had great fun this weekend flying my 250 around some makeshift airgates, but as I started to fly a more varied rout I noticed that due to the positioning of my VTX antenna there were a great number of negative influences on my signal causing static and complete break up.

Where have you all placed your VTX antennas on your 250s to avoid battery blocking/blindspots?

DJI Mavic 2 Pro

I have mine on the underside of the "ceiling" inside the centre part of the aircraft.
The antenna sticks out the back, and is bent/forced upwards via a tie wrap so that it doesn';t collide with the propellers.

I wanted to keep my antenna nice and low profile so I can fit through small spaces more easily. :>  I plan to build an acro aircraft soon, that will have the antenna sticking far up and away from the aircraft as possible, for maximum receptions...

One factor in how much reception you get is where you sit/stand whilst flying.  If you stand on a slight hill, for example, you';ll probably get better range. :>

I was also thinking about VTX positioning on my 250 this morning.

i';ve been playing around with sma edge mount pcb bulkhead connectors. trying to find a 90deg one but no avail. can only find the ones with four square ground pegs and signal peg in middle

it just makes sense

good thinking batman, easy access to the channels, mine is mounted much like Anniki';s by the sound of it.
Point and click.

Monkey see, Monkey do.

Mine looks like it has been fitted by a chimpanzee.  :embarrassed

My antenna goes straight out the back and bends up slightly, so when the quad is tilted forward in its normal angle, then the antenna is at its highest and pointing up.

works for me :)
