Boscam monitor mount and interference question

Hello all

I shall soon be having a Boscam 7 inch monitor model number RX-LCD5802 and i have noticed that some transmitters interfere with the screen picture and if this happens has anyone got any solutions.

Also i intend to attach this to a DX8 transmitter and i want to find out what mount i could use although i prefer a mount that attaches to the neck strap ring but if not i am open to other solutions.

Nic

I have the same monitor, mounted by the neckstrap ring. I get a lot of interference, but I';m thinking an antenna upgrade will solve that. The standard ones are the cheap of the cheap. But it';s flyable. I found if i just use 1 antenna, it seems to be a little better.

This mount.

Thanks Nic

I had a feeling i could encounter this problem as there are quite a few threads and videos about it so i just want to find a way around it.

Some have said fitting a cloverleaf antenna can help although i am not sure why as they are both close to the monitor or as you say it may be a quality issue or fit some tin foil as a barrier between the monitor and TX.

Do those mounts fit good and secure and also does the mount allow easy access to the TX sticks and switches.

Nic

Yeah. The mount is brill. I fold it down on top of my controller when not in use and then just tighten it up with a hex key when I go to fly. Everything is in reach.
And it';s a nice balance.

With the antenna, it';s not meant to be effected by 2.4ghz but clearly does. I need to invest in better antennas but for time being, it';s fine.

Hi Nice

I have just ordered one of those mounts and thanks for the info mate.  ~~

Cloverleaf type antennas may well help as they are skewed so they are much more sensitive to receive radio waves at the correct angle and reject reflected radio waves as they are not the correct angle.

Well I think that';s how it works anyway.
I try :-)

Nic

I';ve ordered cloverleaf antennas, so will let you know if they help!  :frantic:

I am sure they will help overall if not for interference and i am planning on getting something similar as well.

I don';t think there are any bandpass filters that could be fitted in line as the 5.8 Ghz is in the microwave frequency but i have fitted these at HF, 2m and also 70cms bands.

So i shall start a thread asking about cloverleaf and similar antenna regarding their suitabilities and types.
