Interference from Carbon Props?

Hey all, so my 250 was maddened yesterday and it was flying so well LOS I decided to turn on the fpv gear too. Just using the cheap eachine vtx and a boscam vrx. Picture quality and range seemed fine when I did a test walking away from it. But moment I turned on the motors a I get a load of interference, almost like horizontal stripes running down the screen.

The quad was fitted with carbon props that came as part of the kit, at first I thought it was interference from the electrics but even with the electrics off and just the fpv on, when I spin the prop by hand I get similar interference..

Anyhow after 4 lipos I had a little incident which snapped a prop. Arriving home my DAL plastic props have arrived from Hong Kong. I';ve not flown yet with them but seems to be no interference to the video when I spin the plastic prop.

Anyone else experienced interference from carbon props?

could just be bog standard motor noise. I tried same combo and had way more noise than i';ve seen before with other brand stuff.

slightly hampered with filters etc as mine is a tarot so no place to just drop in an lc filter but i have replaced cam with a mini metal cased one and will try it when weather is better. guess i could hold it indoors and see if it works though. maybe later.

do you have any filtering on yours at all for the fpv stuff?

the lines when you turn a prop by hand are a bit odd. you can still generate emf by manual turning of a motor of course, but enough to be seen as video interference is strange.

it just makes sense

Yeh I though it was the motors at first but seems to only happen when I spin the carbon props. I will try it out when I fly tomorrow with the plastic props.

No filtering at the moment for the power on the vtx/camera. Might have to buy an lc filter.

First of all I';m going to see if I can find a better position for the tx and antenna a bit further away from the motors.
