sorry about lack of updates, but now my nuptials are done, the serious business can resume.

I';m pleased to announce that there 3 lobsters out in the wild and I';m looking forward to hearing the feedback. I';m most interested to hear about the ABS arms as I';ve had issues with mine though mine were printed slightly differently. I';ve reverted to my original PLA arms which seem to be able to take a good slap.

I';m also looking at potential design improvements including potentially adding side panels

Can';t wait to give it a serious run out at Weston Park ::)

Update:

There is indeed an issue with the arms on the Lobster. The ABS arms I sent out seem just a weak as the ones I printed for myself and break on the simplest of ';unexpected'; landings. I';m currently printing replacement PLA arms.

Last night I started on the MK2 (v0.8) after realising the I must have been smoking crack when making the MK1, half the geometry was off. I';ll create a changelog once I';ve finished but It';s looking better already. Will hopefully have the first new plates printing early next week and then get them sent out to those who offered to trial the MK1

Update:

The last 2 weeks have seen me redesign, print, build, realise a fundamental error, redesign, reprint and rebuild. The MK2 Lobster is alive!

I';ve just got back from a quick maiden and so far, it flies very nicely. I';ll hopefully give it some fpv treatment tomorrow.

Changes from the MK1:

- FC holes re aligned
- FC position moved to centre of frame
- Rear legs re aligned
- Angle of rear legs adjusted
- Logo embossed on top plate.
- Removed fc anti vibe holes
- Thickend bottom and middle plates by 1mm
- Adjusted front bumper to allow wiring for front LEDs
- Shortened middle and top plates sligthly
- Redesigned board cam mount and mounting holes
- TO DO - landing gear
- TO DO - mobius mount
