Identify my Flight Controller?

First of all - this is my first post on this forum, so hi everyone!

I';m a videographer just getting into drone/quadcopter flying so that I can add aerial videography to the list of services I offer. I';d like to get to the point where I understand them well enough to build and maintain them myself, as I enjoy learning about those sorts of things (I have a basic electronics education, can solder quite well, build my own PCs, have repaired a lot of PCs, games consoles and other electronic items over the years and have some RC experience from many years ago when I had an RC plane).

So I thought it would be a good idea to start off with buying a basic model, learning to fly it (and inevitably repair it!) and then upgrade or build one from scratch as appropriate - and so I';ve ended up with a Helipal Storm Drone 4.

Having had a bit of flying experience with it now, I';ve decided to attach my GoPro so that I can start filming with it. So far my GoPro has only been attached directly to a shock absorption plate that came with the drone for that purpose but I';m looking to add landing skids and a 2 axis gimbal underneath.

However, I';m not sure how to go about this. Will any gimbal controller work with any flight controller? How do I setup the transmitter to control it? I was trying to look up the specifications of my particular flight controller but I';m not even sure what make/model it is. Here';s a photo of it -

Does anyone know what that is and how would I go about adding a gimbal to it?

Its a  free flight controller , pretty old tech as far as quads go, but doesn';t mean its no good, gimbals are usually self contained now and don';t need a feed from the  flight controller to work , just some form of input from the receiver to give an over-ride on where its pointing,  look up brushless gimballs and u';ll get the idea.
