Something is wrong somewhere

Hello all

Something just does not seem right with my 250 build because it feels like the slightest touch on the sticks and it reacts like it is on crack or Methamphetamine and all i have done is build it and connected it up to Baseflight to configure the settings.

In the Initial setup section i have calibrated the accelerometer (surface used checked for level before calibration) and the magnetometer was calibrated by turning the quad throughout its 360 degree axis and also the same on its nose and rear.

In the Receiver section i tested the RX and had to reverse the rudder and aileron as they were opposite.

In the Motor/Servo outputs section i have calibrated the esc';s and tested the motors.

In the Auxiliary section i have enabled AUX 1 to arm at the low position.

In the CLI section i have typed feature motor_stop and typed save which it did.

I have kept the Naze32 settings at default and only altered the throttle range on my DX8 from 100% to 125 as stated in the set up video other than that i have not changed any other setting.

I have tried to calm it down by adding some D/R and EXPO to the ELEV and AILE but it is still seems aggressive so i have a feeling there is something i have set wrong or not done.

I have forgot how to attach a video on here.

Thank you Hands0n

I have to remove the "s" on another forum to put a video on but i never gave it a thought for here.  ~~

you need to either add expo in either cleanflight/baseflight or on your tx,or reduce rc rate, or a combination of the 2, an rc rate of around 1.15-1.20 will be fairly docile you want it up over 1.80 to be doing fast flips and rolls

Instead of typing the settings which i have in baseflight i have done some screen captures to give you an insight and let you see the bigger picture (no pun intended)

First test flight video outdoors.

And below are the screen captures for the PID, Receiver and Mode selection sections of Baseflight.

Hi Dave.

You don';t have a roll, pitch and yaw rate set bud. On your PID page on the right, they';re set to 0.00. AFAIK if you don';t have these set the rates are unlimited. I have mine set to 0.55 roll/pitch which I think translates to 550 deg per second. I think I have yaw set to 0.4

I';m not at home now so I can';t double check.
