Interesting vtx issue.

I recently upgraded my 250 pro to Rotorgeeks 12a esc';s and this PDB -http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/261768730906.

I have my LED';s running from the 5v bec and my vtx (which also powers the board cam) runs from the 12v output.

Everything works fine on 3s. However, if I plug in a 4s battery, I get no video. There is power going to the vtx (12.38v on my multimeter) but nothing.

The strangest things is that I managed to get it working once.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Sadly it does not but thank you anyway.

My vtx is not powered directly by the lipo but through a bec onboard the PDB.

I';m going to swap the vtx for an unused one of the same make and model and go from there.

If the voltage to the VTX is within spec then I would suspect it could be a noise issue from the switching regulator. Have you got another you could try from the 4s?

Hmmmm,

Today i swapped the vtx with a like for like copy. Whilst taking out the first vtx, the earth wire leading to camera came out of it';s connector. I re-crimped it and changed the vtx, connected a 4s battery et voila!

I doubt it was the loose wire as it wouldn';t have worked on 3s. I suspect the old vtx may have issues after a crash I has last year that left it smoking a little. It worked so never thought anything of it. I guess all that';s left to do spank it around a local field. ::)

Cheers for the words of advice guys. ~~
