Patch antenna polarisation

I have just ordered a diversity receiver and of course the main reason for having a diversity receiver is to have two antennas. I will be using LHCP antennas on the quad and on one of the receivers. I have been looking at patch antennas and have discovered that these are polarised as well (left handed, right handed and vertical). Is it the case that I can only use a left handed patch receiver antenna with my LHCP transmitter antennas?

You have got it in one.  It was only last month I found out that was the reason why my range was so poor, I hadn't noticed mine were mismatched!!!

Thanks for that, I have had to bite the bullet and lighten my wallet some more. However we all know this hobby is a labour of love
