recently bought a couple of 3W L.E.D. strips for me and Tony to use on our 250';s so we can spot each other while fpv';ing.  Some have been asking where to get them - well HobbyKing of course:LINK!

Very impressed and show up a treat in the goggles!!  I did notice some power loss on full throttle with the L.E.D. on - but that was with my smaller 1500mAh lipo.  I have some 1800mAh and they worked fine with no noticeable loss of power or significant reduction in flight time.

few pics below as attachments and a vid of me following Tony';s 250 around in the woods:

cheers for now

I've be using one of those for the last month or two, I find them ideal, and cheaper from HobbyKing as well, cheers.

You can get them in white or blue from eBay as well. They';re sold for 1:1 cars as side lights lol. I had some and tried using a piece of transparent vinyl to add colours but my vinyl wasn';t transparent enough. Also had the dimming effect with throttle but like you was using saggy packs. Does your hk one have a capacitor in the shrink tube?

Cheap Cheerful solution to Nav light issue.
Bike lights from Home Bargains.  £1 a pair. ~~
Take off the silicone housing and you have a 5g light that runs off its own power - no wires.
Batteries are replaceable and they have 3 settings, solid, slow and fast flash.
White front orientation light pictured here on my 200QX!
