Boscam TX on 4s?

I have been flying my 250 round this weekend, and have decided I need more punch, so am looking to go to 4s, (it means a complete motor and esc upgrade, never mind), that';s the easy bit.

I intend to run my video tx  (boscam if you didn';t get that from the title of the post) directly from the battery at 14.8v, in theory it should be fine, my question is, is anybody else doing this? And does it work fine or did you see the magic smoke? I have searched previous posts on this site but can';t find an answer.

Worst case I';ll make a 12v rectifier circuit, which will weight less than a 12amp esc, even if I have to add noise reduction.

Which Boscam VTX?  A fully charged 4S is not 14.8V.

I run 4s on my disco with the boscam ts832 tx with no problems at all.

It';s the TS832, the spec sheet says it';ll work up to 16v, so just making sure others haven';t had issues. Half the weight of the tx is the heat sink, so it should cope with the higher voltage.
