Fat shark 250mw repair help

Came down hard inverted with the QAV and caught the Vtx and its ripped the ariel connector off the board, is this repairable or game over for it?

I think they can be repaired, I did the same with my lawmate 2.4vtx and I re soldered that back together, just have to make sure it';s soldered exactly back to where it came off.
If you don';t fancy doing it you can send it me and will repair it if it';s not too dead

game over i think i had the same happen to mine they tend to burn out the tx with out the ariel connected.you could try to fix it you never know.

Sy, it may be repairable.  As the others already said the biggest problem is that the transmitter may have burnt out.

All the solder pads have been ripped off. The antenna trace can possibly be recovered and soldered back to, but the larger ground pads are load bearing.  With the pads gone from the PCB all you can do is glue the mount back, which will never give you the hold it had before.  This can somewhat be mitigated by using a pigtail and have the antenna mounted to the frame separately from the VTX.

Its not game over, i repaired my 600mw version this morning, as i did the exact same thing as you yesterday, you just need to scrape off some of the solder mask, to get a larger area to solder to. I did take a little video...Hmmmm mightbe Youtube time..

Cheers for the comments guys. Yeah I planned on mounting it under the top plate but hadn';t got round to it yet and then this. Hopefully it';s not burnt out I unplugged as soon as I got to it. Good to know it might be fixable and not just headed for the bin. I';ve contacted fatshark and they';re putting me in touch with their UK support so fingers cross they might be able to fix it for me.

can i ask please.. what are the connectors are called on these? and what part would i search for to make a remote connector  for the ant? i saw pigtail...  thats the patch lead right? if i remember my CB days correctly, the lead that connects the tx to the remote ant socket that i want to fit

Same happened to my fatshark Tx on Saturday  but to be fair it had a very hard life and was the one that spent over 24hrs at the bottom of a river so I did get my moneys worth from it. The SMA connector ripped all the solder pads off the PCB.
